Karen’s first blog page!

Karen First Blog Post …

Hello! This is a first for me, writing a blog (must have had a glass of something in my hand when I agreed to it).

There is lots of exciting things happening at Little Pinata, 2017 is going to be a fun filled, creative and crafty year. Creating a blog we thought would be the best way to let you know what has been happening and what fun crafty things we plan to get up to , if you have any feedback  or any ideas you would like to see happening then please get in touch, we love hearing your ideas.

It has been a year since we have been in the  shiny new (much bigger) studio on Brook Street and what a year it has been. It has been great welcoming our old friends in and hearing how much they love the new studio, but equally it has been lovely welcoming new friends, who didn’t know about us so a big thank you to you all.

So whats new?

We still have our drop in crafting sessions, our very popular children’s parties (now with Pizza as a food option, thank you De Niros). Our Adult craft evenings – check out our Facebook page or website for upcoming dates. Our Little Crafters Club for pre-schoolers which is held at 1:30pm on Thursdays is back up and running… woohoo!

AND we now have a list of other crafts we can provide, Little Pinata and the team are so excited to be able to provide  all these new crafts in Broughty Ferry.

We have Sewing Classes for both adults and children, Sandie the sewing teacher (expert) is amazing and her classes are filled with the sounds of fun and laughter accompanying the whirr of the sewing machines. Lots of amazing items have left the studio made by people who had never even touched a sewing machine!

There is Jewellery Classes by Andrea, you will be amazed at the jewellery pieces you will produce, Andrea is a fabulous teacher and there to help inspire you. The feeling of someone complementing your necklace and being able to say, “actually I made it myself” is tremendous.

We also have a new talent – Nicola, who is an artist specialising in the use of oils and she will be offering a 3 week oil painting course ending with you having a unique piece of art for your home, can’t wait to see the final pieces from that.

The people from Broughty Ferry, Dundee and surrounding areas never fail to amaze me with their creativity,  especially when they start off by saying they are not crafty, well countless people have proved themselves wrong. So don’t be afraid pop in and see us and join in the creative fun.
